have announced their involvement with charities, giving us a chance to contribute to the relief efforts in these regions.

MDW with be auctioning off their exquisite Folkvrärthr sword
, with 100% of the proceeds going to Samaritan’s Purse
for helping to rebuild Japan, New Zealand, and Haiti as well. The sword itself was forged from 1095 and 8670 pattern welded steel made by Rick Barrett of Barrett Custom Knives
. Grinding, heat treating, and shaping as well as the antler carving was accomplished by David DelaGardelle
, while the copper guard fitting was done by Andy Davis
. The deer antler was donated by Shad Peters, a professional guitar building luthier and friend of MDW.
If you wish to bid, the auction begins this Saturday, March 19th at 7:00 pm EDT and will end on Saturday March 26th at 7:00 PM EDT. MDW asks that the starting minimum bid be $500 USD.
