First Official Hobbit Trailer Hits This December

It’s the question all Hobbit fans have been asking, “When will we get to see the first official trailer?” As News Director I get hundreds of news alerts per day and many of them hold the promising title of “The Hobbit Trailer” or “First Hobbit Trailer”. I’ve even seen “The Official Hobbit Trailer”. My eager eyes and high hopes are always dashed as the botchy fan-made trailers play out to reveal themselves as the fakes they really are. My four year old could make something more entertaining. But I shall weep no more…

Andy Serkis broke the news during an interview with IGN.com as he was commenting on his time as an actor and second unit director for The Hobbit films, saying “There will be a trailer fairly soon, actually. Around Christmas time, I believe… It’s just around the corner.”

Best Christmas present EVER.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits theaters December 14, 2012 and The Hobbit: There and Back Again premieres the following year, December 13, 2013.
