Remember last December when the wet weather in Nelson brought the location filming of The Hobbit to an abrupt end ? The effect of the threat of a deluge was all nicely captured on Peter Jackson’s sixth production video as the crew packed up and left two days early. Well, the crew have been back, filmed and have left again according to the Marlborough Express.
The crew arrived last Friday and filmed at Canaan Downs on the Takaka Hill.
Ceris Price, the Production company 3 Foot 7 publicist said, “It was the two days that we didn’t do when it rained. It went very well. It was absolutely stunning, beautiful weather.”
Which must have been quite a relief for all involved.
