Official Tolkien Society Press Release:

The Tolkien Society is pleased to announce that Chloë of the Midnight Storytellers will be coming to The Return of the Ring this summer to bring her unique performances to the event.

Chloë, who trained at London’s Central School of Speech and Drama, is passionate about bringing live storytelling to the 21st Century and to adult audiences. She has a passion for dragons and will be performing under her persona Agent Green the Dragon Whisperer, the last of the dragon whisperers, to bring us ‘The Lost Legends of Britain’, ‘J.R.R.T. Therapy’, ‘Agent Green: Masterclass in the Care and Training of Dragons’ and the workshop ‘In Your Own Words’.

The Return of the Ring takes place at Loughborough University, England on 16th-20th August 2012 with Chloë being with for almost the entire duration of the weekend! The Return of the Ring celebrates the forthcoming films and 75 years of The Hobbit. It is the follow-up to Tolkien 2005 that commemorated 50 years of The Lord of the Rings and which was recently described by Ring*Con founder Marcel Bülles as “probably the best Tolkien-related event in history”.

Chloë adds to the jam-packed selection of guests that includes: author and Tolkien’s grandson Michael Tolkien; performer of ‘One Man LOTR’ Charlie Ross; authors and academics Brian Sibley, Tom Shippey, Verlyn Flieger, Colin Duriez, John Garth and Corey Olsen; artist Ted Nasmith; directors of Born of Hope and The Hunt for Gollum Kate Madison and Chris Bouchard; and French Middle-earth re-enactment society The Company of the Green Dragon. Shaun Gunner, Tolkien Society trustee, said: “Chloë certainly brings something different to The Return of the Ring! Her exciting performances will be a delight to behold and she will undoubtedly provide immense enjoyment to all attendees regardless of their age – after all, it is worth remembering that her act isn’t just for children. I am already pencilling Chloë and her Agent Green the Dragon Whisperer act into my diary as she provides further varied entertainment at The Return of the Ring – I hope everyone gets the chance to see her.”
