Entertainment Weekly Has 10 New ‘Hobbit’ Photos!

It’s that time of year again! Last June, the magazine Entertainment Weekly had exclusive first-look pictures from the set of The Hobbit. Well, they’re at it again!

Entertainment Weekly just released ten new photos of our favorite hobbit, wizard, dwarves, and elves!

The photos include some promotional shots of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, Sir Ian McKellen as Gandalf, and Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield. Armitage said of Thorin’s mission to the Lonely Mountain, “He has this vision of what he’s going to do for his people.”

We get another fantastic look at the dwarves Fili, Kili, Dori, and Nori as they traverse the ever-perilous terrain. Mark Hadlow plays Dori, who I think has the best look of all of the dwarves. He said, “This movie has been a great opportunity for all of us to get fit.”

Some characters look the same as ever, like Ian McKellen’s Gandalf, “He’s still got the same sense of humor and sense of urgency and concern,” said McKellen. “All those things that make him interesting.” Other returning favorites from The Lord of the Rings include Hugo Weaving’s Elrond, Cate Blanchett’s Galadriel, and Andy Serkis’ Gollum.

Make sure to visit EW.com for a look at all ten pictures! You don’t want to miss a glimpse of dwarves in barrels!

Our friends at RichardArmitageNet.com are reporting that two new photos are only available on ereaders. Thorin/Armitage fans should get excited!

  1. I know there are some people who don’t like that dwarf guy who is all handsome and doesn’t look like a dwarf, but I am so glad he is there XD Being all young and single, I want someone to fan-girl over! 😀
