Guests Announced for The Hobbit’s London Premiere

Updated 11 December – The Duchess of Cambridge will not be attending the premiere due to her pregnancy sickness. The Duke still plans to attend.

The first of the film-makers and cast members who’ll be attending the Royal Film Performance London premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey have been announced.

Sir Peter Jackson, Martin Freeman, Sir Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis, Cate Blanchett, Richard Armitage, Aidan Turner, James Nesbitt, Sylvester McCoy, Sir Ian Holm CBE, Sir Christopher Lee CBE, Jed Brophy, Stephen Hunter, Ken Stott, Adam Brown, John Callen, Mark Hadlow, Peter Hambleton, William Kircher, Dean O’Gorman and Graham McTavish will all be at the London premiere on December 12th reports markmeets.

Luke Evans (Bard) and Ryan Gage (Alfrid), who are in the second and third films of the trilogy, have tweeted that they will be at the premiere.

The premiere will be at the ODEON and Empire theatres in Leicester Square.

The Hobbit premiere has been chosen for the Royal Film Performance and TRH the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be attending for the first time. The Royal Film Performance is a fund-raising event for The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund.
