There and back again – The England journey of the Inda-Gymnasium Tolkien group

Thanks to Becky Dillon for sending this in.  She writes,

“DTG member, Dr Julian Eilmann, took his whole class to Oxford on a “search for Tolkien,” and the kids made a video of the event.”

The description on the YouTube page says,

“England is the home country of Prof. J. R. R Tolkien, who has shaped the modern fantasy literature with his beloved novels “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit”. For all Tolkien fans the UK is thus a special destination. In 2011 the Inda-Fellowship, the Tolkien group of the Inda-Gymnasium Aachen, went on an exciting journey into Tolkien’s England. Among others, the young Tolkienists visited the workplace of Prof. Tolkien in Oxford (Merton College) and were able to study his precious original manuscripts. This thrilling film documentary by Julian Eilmann provides insight into this fascinating journey.”

Definitely worth a viewing as it is filmed in HD and has many beautiful views of Tolkien’s Oxford!  The film is in German with English subtitles.
