Guardians of Middle-earth Comes to PC This Month

Another popular game inspired by The Lord of the Rings is coming to PC later this month.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s popular MOBA, Guardians of Middle-earth, will be available through Steam and other digital retailers on August 29. For players who have already purchased the console version of the game, a free PC download code will be provided.

Exclusive to the PC version are 36 alternate Guardian skins, which will be available for purchase in the Steam store as class-specific bundles (includes five Guardians and their alternate skins for $14.99). Among these alternate skins are Ultimate Skins, which will instantly unlock all of a character’s highest abilities at once.

Players can purchase one of two versions of the game: the base game for $19.99 (includes the playable Guardians Gandalf, Galadriel, Thráin, Gollum, Hildifons and Legolas, as well as each character’s alternate skins) or the Mithril Edition $79.99 (includes all 36 playable Guardians, 36 alternate skins, the Mithril Guardian Relic and a buddy key).

Additionally, players will be able to purchase Smaug’s Treasure, which includes in-game currency and Smaug’s Greed Relic, for $9.99.

Players can pre-order Guardians of Middle-earth on Steam for 10% off. Those who pre-order the game will receive a special Company of Dwarves bundle, which includes five playable Guardians (among them Ori, Nori, Glóin, Kíli, Thorin, and their alternate skins).
