Cate Blanchett Will Only Appear in the Third Movie of ‘The Hobbit’ Trilogy

It seems that Galadriel won’t appear in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, but we’ll be able to see her again in The Hobbit: There Back and Again.

Actress Cate Blanchett revealed her speculations to Yahoo Movies during a promotional interview for her last movie Blue Jasmine.

“I don’t know whether I’m in the second, I think I’m in the third. But look, Laurence Olivier was made into a hologram [for infamous 80s stage show ‘Time’], so there’s always a potential for me to be in a holographic installation in ‘The Hobbit’ […] Who knows with these things…”

We’ll be able to know for sure only when The Desolation of Smaug will open in theaters the next December 13.
