  1. Ahhhhh! It is as I feared – Legolas and Tauriel. Why? WHY??! Still, all the Smaug parts I enjoyed, as well as the look into Mirkwood.

EEEEEK! Can’t wait until Dec. 13!

    • You were worried about a relationship between Legolas and Tauriel?

    • yes indeed, I feared for it to.. the Legolas love story! ): one of the things I liked about the book was that there was no romance, only brother like bonds and honor.

  2. Rachel Took says:

I’m a little bit underwhelmed, but Benedict Cumberbatch’s voice is PERFECT for Smaug. His voice sounds like the voice I heard in my head when I read Smaug when I was young.

  3. I enjoy Peter Jackson’s story telling abilities, and if the second is much like this trailer – no matter how far afield from the book – I may enjoy this one more than the last, which I found over-long, dull and plodding.

    Fingers crossed…

  4. EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MOOOOOORE!!!!

  5. It’s nice to see some more from the new movie but I’m personally very angry they put Legolas in it (he doesn’t show up anywhere in the book for as far as I know). It would be logical for him to make an appearance in the movie indeed, but to give him so much screen time? and do I hear a Legolas love story there? That really sounds like they want to attract the “fangirls”…

I’m still very excited for the Hobbit DOS though! Very curious :)
