Year 2941 – The Hobbit

November 4

  • The dwarves fortify the Front Gate while the ravens bring news
  • Bard takes the lead to care for the town’s survivors

November 6

  • The Elves make their way to the mountain and reach Lake-town
  • Dain receives Thorin’s summons via Roäc Carc’s son

November 8

  • Fili and Kili come back with ponies

So while the others went on with their work, Fili and Kili were sent, guided by a raven, to find the ponies and bring back all they could.
They were four days gone, and by that time they knew that the joined armies of the Lake-men and the Elves were hurrying towards the Mountain.
