Last year, Middle-earth News teamed up with the Wells Fargo IMAX Theater at Marbles in Raleigh, NC, to throw a line party in celebration of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey theater premiere. It was a huge success, bringing in fans from around the state, many of them cosplaying their favorite Tolkien character.
This year we’re teaming up again, and already our list of sponsored prizes has grown beyond last years. There will be trivia questions, a costume contest, giveaways, and more. It’s a great way to celebrate the premiere and meet fellow fans. Tickets are on sale now, so be sure to reserve your The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Premiere tickets today!
We’ll be there for IMAX’s encore showing of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey at 8: 30 pm EST and for DOS at midnight. The line party will begin at 7:30 pm EST, leading up to 8:30 pm EST, the start of AUJ. Following the first film, we’ll be running more trivia and giveaways leading up to the DOS midnight premiere.
