Out of the Shire: A Tribute to Middle Earth Art Exhibition

If you’re going to be near Alhambra, CA tomorrow, think about stopping by Gallery Nucleus for their Out of the Shire: A Tribute to Middle Earth Art Exhibition. It will run from December 14 to January 12 and advance tickets cost $5.00 for the opening night. Tickets are available to purchase on their website and your name will be automatically be added to their guest list.

The exhibition centers around The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and is in celebration of Peter Jackson’s film adaptations of The Hobbit. It will feature artwork from fans and artists from all over the world, and they are accepting open submissions and debuting inspired works on their blog.

Not only will there be amazing work to be seen by artists such as Donato Giancola, Ted Nasmith and Justin Gerard, attendees will be able to participate in activities during the opening night reception. And what are those activities? A DIY dwarf beard station, the chance to get a caricature of yourself as a Hobbit, Elf or Orc, a riddle game, deciphering names in Elvish, multiple raffle prizes, and a photo op with a Sauron figure courtesy of Gentle Giant Studios! You can go on the gallery site to see all of the different artists whose work will be included in the show.
