‘The Hobbit’ Tops the Saturn Awards Nominations

Congratulations to the The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug for gaining eight nominations for the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films 40th Saturn Awards. The Hobbit, together with Gravity, topped the list for the most nominations closely followed by The Hunger Games: Catching Fire with seven.

Best Director: Peter Jackson

Best Production Design: Dan Hennah
Best Music:
Howard Shore
Best Make-Up: Rick Findlater, Richard Taylor, Peter King
Best Special/Visual Effects: Joe Letteri, Eric Saindon, David Clayton, Eric Reynolds

Last year Dan Hennah won the Saturn Award for Best Production Design for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The 2014 Saturn Awards will be presented in June in Burbank.
