The Tolkien Society Announces Award Winners

The winners of the inaugural Tolkien Society Awards were announced at the Tolkien Society’s Annual Dinner in Hay-on-Wye on Saturday 11th April 2014.

Shaun Gunner, Tolkien Society Chairman, said: “A hearty congratulations to all the winners of our first ever awards: they’re all thoroughly deserved. What has been really encouraging is that people from across the world–both Society members and non-members–have taken part in nominating people for the awards. I hope this is the start in a long tradition of annual awards by the Society in recognition of excellence in Tolkien studies and Tolkien fandom.”
