Peter Hollens + Taylor Davis + Into The West = Our Kind of Math

into-the-west-peter-hollens-taylor-davisIt’s no secret that we love our music, and if it has to do with Tolkien, all the better! We like to share covers of songs from The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings films, songs that set Tolkien’s words to music, and original songs based on Middle-earth.

Singer Peter Hollens and violinist Taylor Davis are mainstays on our playlists. They’ve teamed up before for The Rains of Castamere and an awesome World of Warcraft medley. And, happily for us, they have just released this collaboration on “Into The West”!

Peter Hollens

Peter Hollens is well-known on YouTube for his a cappella performances of our favorite songs. He has entertained us with music from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies before with Pippin’s SongMisty Mountains, and I See Fire. His most recent video was an a cappella version of “Into the West” from the Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King soundtrack.

You can watch more Peter Hollens videos on YouTube and purchase his music on iTunes and Loudr.

Taylor Davis

Violinist Taylor Davis has made a name for herself on YouTube for her video game and movie covers, including “May It Be” and “Concerning Hobbits” from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, “Misty Mountains” from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and the Rohan theme from The Lord of the Rings Online!
