Warriors of the Westfold: The Farmer’s Faire

The past two weeks we all played at the Farmer’s Faire in Bywater. For many of us it was our first experience with that, so today we’re talking about our impressions about this year’s Farmer’s Faire!

ALICE

The Farmer’s Faire surprised me a lot (in a good way!) and it quickly became my favourite Festival so far (even more than the Yule one!), even if I still have to experience the Fall Festival. The quests are funny and easy to complete once you become familiar with the tasks. The first time I tried to complete the Bounder Rounds, where you have to look for the Party Goers with misspelled words or slight mis-phrasing, I panicked and I decided to change quest, but now that I remember all the misspelled words and the wrong sentences is easy to complete and I must confess it’s my favourite one!

The location is awesome, even if there are some fishing quests that take you forever to complete sometimes, but Bywater is always Bywater and I couldn’t ask a better way to celebrate like a Hobbit. Whether I’m not crazy about the mounts, I love the cosmetics and the home decorations. I grabbed almost everything I could.

My final statement is that Farmer’s Faire should last an entire month, just like the Yule Festival 😀

BRITTA

The Farmer’s Faire is a festival that I actually still enjoy, despite the lack of appealing rewards. Unlike other festivals, completing quests at the Farmer’s Faire usually yields 5 or 10 tokens, making it quick and easy to earn enough to barter for cosmetics and other fun items.

Unfortunately, once again there were very few new items available to barter for; another robe and tablecloth mount, neither of which I wasted any of my tokens on.

This festival, I focused on my Nimrodel alt, Belegrian. (Festivals on Landroval are sometimes a pain, as the volume of players is incredible; this seemed like a perfect opportunity to help out one of my alts.) She completed most of the available deeds and picked up all of the housing decorations, a few mounts, and the Farmer’s Faire tunic.

MARIA

This has been my first Farmer’s Faire and after an initial confusion I began to love it very much! I had the impression that this Festival required more thinking than the some of the previous ones. Also, I somehow had the feeling that it was much easier to gain tokens during the Farmer’s Faire compared to other festivals. One of my all time favorite tasks was Sandson’s Egg Scramble. Even though my success rate was mediocre, I truly enjoyed it.

I enjoyed most cosmetics, although I haven’t bartered a dress. Surprisingly, I love, love, love the Sheep mask! It looks so badass when my hobbit hunter wears the Sheep mask while riding her goat. The pig mask though…that one is frikkin creepy! My all time favorite housing cosmetic is the mushroom circle! I’d really, really love to have more mushroom themed cosmetics!
I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to the next Farmer’s Faire!

MYLA

This is the first Farmers Faire that I’ve participated in and I like it! I haven’t had much time to take part though because of classes but I was able to get a good amount of stuff. I made sure that the first thing I splurged on was the flower crown, I’ve been wanting it for what feels like forever!! I can’t wait to put it on all of my characters. I also got some other cosmetics and also the mushroom circle for my home, it is much bigger than I thought it would be so that was a nice surprise. There isn’t much else I want to get but I am going to try and get another mount, the black one. I can’t remember the name of it though. But I want it!

I actually do like the new design for this festival, but only in the caparison form. It’s SUPER bright but I like it. I was hoping on picking one up because I’m only a few levels away from getting my war steed but I feel too lazy to try and earn 120 tokens. Also it’s hard for me to accumulate that much without spending any.
