Air New Zealand Released A New Epic ‘Hobbit’ Safety Video

The new Air New Zealand’s Hobbit safety video has been revealed just few hours ago! Every year, since 2012, Air NZ delighted all The Hobbit fans with their entertaining safety videos (you can watch them here and here), but this year they shot “The Most Epic Safety Video Ever Made Takes Flight on Air NZ”, that shows their staff under the influence of the next Hobbit film installment, The Battle of the Five Armies.

Directed by Kiwi filmmaker Taika Waititi, produced by New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM), the safety video features members of The Hobbit cast – Elijah Wood (Frodo Baggins), Dean O’Gorman (Fili the Dwarf) and Sylvester McCoy (Radagast) – and cameos from Peter Jackson, Richard Taylor and Taika Waititi, who appears with a Wizard costume. This new epic adventure was shot in six days across New Zealand’s locations of The Hobbit trilogy.

Jodi Williams, Air New Zealand Head of Global Brand Development, stated: “We are very proud to be the official airline of Middle-earth and have worked hard over the past three years to create highly effective global marketing campaigns, including distinctive branded aircraft and Hobbit-inspired online content, which have got the world talking about both our airline and destination New Zealand. […] We’re confident our final Hobbit-inspired on board safety video will delight fans as much as the first one and inspire even more people to consider a visit to Middle-earth.” (Source: theflyingsocialnetwork.com)
