Middle-earth News is once again teaming up with the fabulous folks at Wells Fargo IMAX Theatre at Marbles in Raleigh, North Carolina, to throw not one, but three The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies line parties this year! Being that this is the final film, what better way to celebrate than to give local fans three chances to win Hobbit swag and goodies? Our very own News Director, Arwen Kester, will be there in person at each of the line parties giving out prizes, taking photos, and chatting with fans. ‘The Hobbit’ Trilogy Marathon – Monday, December 15, 2014
This is your one and only chance to see all three Hobbit films on North Carolina’s only giant screen at Marbles IMAX, and tickets are selling out fast! We’ll be hosting a costume contest for this event with a grand prize of a new IMAX a Marbles Power Pass, so come dressed in your Middle-earth’s finest. Time in between the films has been scheduled in, giving fans a chance to grab some grub at Pogo Cafe. Don’t forget to brush up on your Hobbit knowledge, we’ll be giving away swag all day to those who know their trivia.
Showing Times:
- The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (AUJ) – 12 PM EST
- The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (DOS) – 3:30 PM EST
- The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (BOTFA) – 7 PM EST
Costume contest:
- Costume must depict a character from one of the three Hobbit films
- Attend both AUJ and DOS and post a photo on Twitter of yourself in costume before the BOTFA premiere that evening
- Follow and tag both @MiddleEarthNews and @IMAXRaleigh and use the hashtag #H3IMAXRaleigh for your entree to be considered in the contest
- One winner will be announced in between DOS and BOTFA
- Grand Prize: IMAX at Marbles Power Pass, Collectible Bag End from The Middle-earth Collection, and other various Hobbit swag
