‘The Hobbit’ gets Seven Saturn Award Nominations

Congratulations to the The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies for gaining seven nominations for the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films 41st Annual Saturn Awards.

Best Supporting Actor in a Film: Richard Armitage in The Hobbit: BOTFA

Best Supporting Actress in a Film: Evangeline Lilly in The Hobbit: BOTFA

Best Film Writing: Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, Peter Jackson, Guillermo del Toro The Hobbit: BOTFA

Best Film Music: Howard Shore The Hobbit: BOTFA

Best Film Make Up: Peter King, Rick Findlater, Gino Acevedo The Hobbit: BOTFA

Best Film Visual Effects: Joe Letteri, Eric Saindon, David Clayton, R. Christopher White The Hobbit: BOTFA

In addition The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Extended Edition gets a nomination, for Best DVD/BD Special Edition Release

Last year Dan Hennah won the Saturn Award for Best Production Design.

The winners will be announced at the 41st Annual Saturn Awards Ceremony on June 25, 2015
