‘Hobbit’ Actors Appearing on TV in 2015

The Hobbit movies are over, but you’ll be able to follow your favourite actors in other different productions along 2015. Entertainment Weekly shared a list of Hobbit actors who are going to appear on television during the next few months.

Aidan Turner

Kili the Dwarf “is now stealing the hearts of men and women in the UK” with the role of Ross Poldark, the main character of Poldark TV series. It’ll be aired on PBS in June 2015. Our Reporter Evie is running a themed blog, you can read more at www.poldarked.com.

Richard Armitage

Thorin Oakenshield will be play the role of a super villain in the upcoming season of Hannibal: Francis Dolarhyde, also known as the great Red Dragon. The third season of Hannibal will start next June 4 on NBC.

Graham McTavish

Dwalin the Dwarf is playing a strong role in Outlander as the brother of a Scottish Laird who is planning an uprising against the British that will change the course of Scotland. The second part of the TV series is starting in few days, April 4, on Starz.

Lee Pace

Elven King Thranduil will also star in the second season of Halt and Catch Fire, on AMC next May 31, with the role of “former IBM executive Joe MacMillan, a man determined to reverse-engineer the personal computer and take on IBM”.

Ian McKellen

Gandalf is currently playing in Vicious, a British sitcom, alongside Derek Jacobi. Season three of the sitcom will be aired in June 2015 on PBS.

Martin Freeman & Benedict Cumberbatch

Bilbo and Smaug might appear on Christmas Day for the Sherlock Christmas special, while the fourth season of Sherlock is set to return in the spring of 2016.

Manu Bennett

Azog is still playing the role of Deathstroke in Arrow, season 3, but he’ll also appear as Allanon in MTV’s new fantasy epic The Shannara Chronicles, next July.

Ryan Gage

Alfrid is currently playing the role of King Louis on BBC America’s The Musketeers. Season three will be aired early next year on BBC America.
