In his upcoming book Middle-earth from Script to Screen: Building the World of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, Daniel Falconer tells how Middle-earth was turned into blockbuster film franchises, The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit Trilogy.
