Crisis, the UK charity that supports single homeless people, has enlisted the help of Sir Ian McKellen for its latest fundraising idea Crisis Mission: A Journey to the Midlands (and back again).
Crisis Mission involves teams locating GPS hotspots, solving clues and completing challenges around the area of Tolkien’s West Midlands home. Each team will have a computer tablet and Sir Ian, who is well-known for his portrayal of Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings films and is reprising the role for The Hobbit, will appear in video clues.
The event will take place on 12 May starting from London and Birmingham. See the Crisis website for more information.
