Air New Zealand is celebrating 30 years of flights between London and Los Angeles with an auction of 30 unique prizes! All proceeds from the auction will go to Phab.org.uk, a charity that promotes and encourages people of all abilities to come together on equal terms and to achieve complete inclusion within the wider community.
The Hollywood to Wellywood package is the perfect prize for film buffs and Ringers alike. It includes:
- Two Air New Zealand Economy flights from London Heathrow to Los Angeles to Wellington and back to London.
- Two tickets to the Warner Brothers VIP Deluxe Tour in Hollywood. “A special five-hour tour that explores the craft of movie-making, with lunch in the Commissary. Led by top tour guides, you’ll be taken into the craft shops to talk to the artisans at work, onto working production sets to talk to crew and you’ll be invited to the Fine Dining Room where you and your guest can dine with the stars!”
- Entry for two at Weta Workshop and Weta Cave. “You will visit Weta Workshop in the heart of Middle-earth (Wellington, New Zealand) and you and your friend will meet some of the Weta artists in their Conference Room and visit the iconic Weta Cave.”
The bidding period will end on May 27, so start your bidding on this special prize before it’s too late! The experience must be taken by November 30, 2012. Hopefully that is in time for the premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey!
The Journalism Foundation gala offers another way to win a trip to New Zealand. One lucky bidder will be able to win tickets and flights to see The Hobbit at its World Premiere in Wellington. The gala aims to raise money to support The Journalism Foundation’s global projects, including the establishment of a new college of journalism in Tunisia, and a program to train young journalists in South Sudan.
Good luck to all the bidders!
