When Dean O’Gorman was trying to find models for his photographs that recreate scenes from the war in Vietnam, he didn’t have far to look. Dean got some of his fellow actors from The Hobbit to pose for some of the shots.
The results can be seen at the Page Blackie Gallery in Wellington this week. A display of some of the photographs is on the Page Blackie website including pictures of Aidan Turner, Luke Evans and Adam Brown.
The exhibition runs 19 – 23 June.
May we wish Dean every success with this, his first exhibition.

Evie was introduced to Tolkien's work by her boyfriend, over a beer in the Eagle and Child pub in Oxford. She went home, read the books and, a while later, married her boyfriend. She has only recently discovered fandom, after years of eye-rolling by her husband and children, and is delighted to find it warm and welcoming and not-at-all weird. As well as tracking down bits of news and sharing them with others, she leads ponies for Riding for the Disabled and loves the cinema and theatre and her wildlife garden.
