The Hobbit Premiere Tour

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will have premieres in  London, New York, Berlin and Tokyo, following the world premiere  in Wellington, New Zealand on 28 November.

Sir Ian McKellen broke the news in an interview with Stuff.co.nz about his current shows that are raising money for Christchurch’s earthquake-damaged Isaac Theatre Royal.

Asked if he would be attending the world premiere Sir Ian said,

“I expect so, but I really don’t know yet. I don’t know what the arrangements are. They have us going around the world doing publicity.

“[But] this is the world premiere. There will be further premieres in London, New York and Berlin and Tokyo and I may not be going on the whole of that tour. That will have to be decided.”
