Earlier this year, LEGO released the first image of their line for The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey. We loved the details, right down to the little version of Thror’s map inside Bag End!
Just last week, LEGO uploaded a new video that gives us an up-close look at the Bag End set, titled “An Unexpected Gathering.”
At New York Comic-Con, LEGO revealed more sets from their Hobbit line. All of these sets, including “An Unexpected Gathering” will be released on December 1, 2012.
“Riddles for the Ring” features Bilbo (who can change his face from calm to frightened) and Gollum. Price: $9.99.
“The Goblin King Battle” is a big set and includes The Goblin King, Gandalf, Ori, Dori, Nori, and a collection of goblins. Price: $99.99. UPDATE: LEGO has also released a video demonstrating the cool traps and other movable parts of this set. Watch it at LEGO’s YouTube Channel.
“Attack of the Wargs” includes Thorin, Bifur, Fimbul the orc, to additional orcs, and two wargs. Price: $49.99.
“Escape from Mirkwood Spiders” features Kili, Fili, Legolas, Tauriel, and spiders. Price: $29.99. Does this mean Legolas and Tauriel will be some help in the escape and rescue?
“Barrel Escape” is a Toys”R”Us Exclusive. The set features Bilbo, Oin, Gloin, and two elven guards. Price: $39.99.
LEGO has also announced a tabletop game for The Hobbit. The premise for this memory game is that Gandalf and Bilbo, along with Dwalin, Kili, and Fili, are searching Hobbiton for the other dwarves. In true LEGO fashion, the game board and the dice are buildable.
What do you think of the sets? Are any of these going on your wish list? And what do you think of Legolas and Tauriel being in the Mirkwood set?
