The Embassy Theatre has said on Twitter that the world premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be shown in 48 fps.
The Embassy tweeted, “Yes we will be screening in 48fps 😀 #TheHobbit #Hobbit“
Of course, we knew it would be but, with Warner Brothers giving the 48fps version a limited release (it will be shown in 10% of cinemas in the US) it is reassuring to have it confirmed.
The premiere is being held at The Embassy Theatre, Wellington, New Zealand on 28 November.

She has only recently discovered fandom, after years of eye-rolling by her husband and children, and is delighted to find it warm and welcoming and not-at-all weird. As well as tracking down bits of news and sharing them with others, she leads ponies for Riding for the Disabled and loves the cinema and theatre and her wildlife garden.
