The world premiere may be over but for the cast and film-makers of The Hobbit it’s only the start of the events and promotions.
Here are some dates for your diary for the next couple of weeks. I’ve sneeked in some non-hobbity events which involve cast members too.
1 December Tokyo Premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills.
- Peter Jackson, Martin Freeman (Bilbo), Andy Serkis (Gollum), Richard Armitage (Thorin), Elijah Wood (Frodo) and Hugo Weaving (Elrond) are to attend according to WarnerBros Japan. There will be a press conference and red carpet event.
3 December Toronto Premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey at 6.30 pm at Scotiabank Theatre.
- Richard Armitage (Thorin) is the only cast member confirmed as attending the premiere.
- Richard will be at Union Station at 7.00am where an installation for the film will be unveiled. KISS radio will be there to hand out 100 passes to attend the premiere that night!
- Richard will be interviewed on the Marilyn Denis show on 3rd December. The show is taped live at 10.00am in Toronto and live streaming video will be shown on the show’s website.
- Richard will appear on George Stroumboulopoulos’s TV show in Toronto on Monday 3rd December at 3.15pm – no air date has been set.
