The release date of the third film in The Hobbit trilogy, There and Back Again, has been pushed back to 17 December 2014.
The film had been set to debut in July 2014, seven months after the second installment, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in December 2013. Now, like it’s predecessors, it is slated for a December opening, according to Reuters.
Dan Fellman, president of distribution for Warner Brothers said,
“We’re excited to complete the trilogy the same way we started it, as a holiday treat for moviegoers everywhere.”
I’m sure it will be a “treat” but, for now, lots of The Hobbit fans will be feeling a tad disappointed at this news.
