Attention all men, dwarves, hobbits, and elves! If you have never had the chance to check out The Middle Earth Beer & Music Festival in Lancashire, England, this will be your year! 2013 marks the Festival’s fifth anniversary since its launch in 2009 and promises to be the biggest event yet.
Each year the festivities are held in the village of Hurst Green, which is famous for its connections with author JRR Tolkien, the event itself will be held in the Hurst Green Memorial Hall.
Bring the whole family for a night (or three) to remember! Celebrations include three nights of live music; a two day Hobbiton Market featuring crafts made by local artisans, and of course, a vast array of beers and ciders to try. Bring the kids along too: there will be family friendly activities such as a Hamster Run as well as demonstrations from a chainsaw artist and glass blowers.
Festivities start on Thursday, April 4th and continue to Sunday, April 7th. For more information or to purchase tickets visit the festival’s official website.
If you’re in the area, drop in. The Middle Earth Beer and Music Festival is sure to be as fun and exciting as Bilbo Baggin’s 111th birthday!
