The Hobbit actors Peter Hambleton and Kiran Shah are to visit Kenya to lend their support to the launch of The Association of People with Dwarfism in Kenya. Peter plays the dwarf Gloin in The Hobbit and Kiran is a size double for Martin Freeman (Bilbo), as well as a goblin.

The Association of People with Dwarfism in Kenya have recently launched a campaign to register all people with dwarfism in Kenya.
The Star reports that Deputy chairperson William Ndung’u asked the government to fund the association saying.
“There has been discrimination of dwarfs across the country. We are on the verge on uniting and fighting against discrimination and unemployment. Let all those who are 5 feet and below register with us,
“People with this conditions have been shelved from paying taxes, and are also not supposed to be harassed by the county government over their business licenses but we are shocked those we have met are not aware and continue being harassed.”
