United Cutlery Replica Weapons Available for Pre-order

United Cutlery’s first set of  full scale prop replica weapons for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug are now available for pre-order.

In their press release they say:

United Cutlery, manufacturer of licensed edged and adult collectibles for the entertainment industry since 1981, announced today the availability to pre-order replicas inspired by the highly anticipated motion picture The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM).

Under license with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, United Cutlery, the industry leader in collectible film and game replicas, has meticulously crafted the replicas of a variety of weapons from the second film in The Hobbit Trilogy. The first set to be available for pre-order will consist of several replicas of the weapons brandished by the Elves of Mirkwood, including the Fighting Knives of Legolas Greenleaf™, the Fighting Knives of Tauriel and the legendary Sword of Thranduil the Elvenking. A replica of the Mirkwood Double Bladed Polearm, used by the Mirkwood Guard, will also be available for pre-order. The second set to be available for pre-order in 2014 will consist of replicas of the War Mace of Azog, the Mirkwood Bow of Tauriel and the Hobbit Staff of Thranduil the Elvenking. Each collectible will be precisely replicated from the actual film props created by world renowned physical effects house Weta Workshop for the film, and each piece will include a wood wall display and a certificate of authenticity. Replicas from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey are also available.  They include The Sword of Kili, The Sword of Fili, Sting and Orcrist.
