If you were excited about the recent Steam sale of the LEGO Lord of the Rings Game, I think you’re going to want to hear this.
It may not come as a surprise to you given the success of the Hobbit films, but LEGO game developer TT Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have announced LEGO: The Hobbit for release in spring 2014.
Playable characters include Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf the Grey, Thorin Oakenshield, Dwalin, Balin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Oin, Gloin, Ori, Dori, Nori, Fili, and Kili. Each character will have his own special ability; Bombur uses his belly as a trampoline.
Locations is the game include Hobbiton and Bag End, Rivendell, The Misty Mountains, Goblin-town, and Mirkwood. However, since the game is based only of the first two films, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, we’ll have to wait for an impending second installment before we’ll get to play through the entire story.
LEGO: The Hobbit will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Vita, Wii U, 3DS, PC, and Mac.

Now, let’s speculate! Bombur has his belly, Ori must have a slingshot, and Kili will likely have a bow. What do you think the special abilities will be for the rest of the dwarves?
