It has been yet another year! We look back over our shoulders at this hour and simply cannot believe how much has changed since last we shared a Yuletide with you, our lovely fans! But one thing still remains the same–Peter Jackson continues to tease us with his magic, and now we patiently await on the spiders to send a shiver down our spines and the Desolation of the Great Dragon!
“Why did I start Middle-earth News? I wanted a place where I could get great Tolkien news coverage. A place where I could not only find film news, but one where fans like myself could read about Tolkien-inspired art, artists, and artisans, games, and more. Everything that we’ve ever done has had Tolkien fans in mind,” said Arwen in the last year’s Yuletide post.
“I believe, without a doubt, it was Tolkien’s passion he poured into his books, and the time he spent meticulously going over the tiniest of details, that we fans exist today.”
And indeed we thank The Professor today, for not only creating this magnificent world for us to dwell about, but also for being the master that he was with words especially. Because they guide us in the deepest shadows, from day to day, and lead us to the realms of hope that sub-creation spreads.
And you, the lovely mates without which we wouldn’t be able to spread the magic. This year we not only want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for being such an amazing crowd, for all of your support and commitment, but we also have a list of possible Yuletide gifts that might put you at ease!
