Last month I reported that United Cutlery replica weapons were available for pre-order and at last we have some pictures of what the weapons look like. You can view the replicas and pre-order them here exclusively at the BudK Catalog .
The weapons include the Fighting Knives of Legolas Greenleaf™, the Fighting Knives of Tauriel, the Mirkwood Bow of Tauriel, the Sword of Thranduil the Elvenking, the Mirkwood Double Bladed Polearm, and the War Mace of Azog, the weapon used by Azog as he and the Orcs continue to hunt Bilbo and the Dwarves.
In their press statement United Cutlery say,
“Under license with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, United® Cutlery, the industry leader in collectible film and game replicas, has meticulously crafted the replicas of a variety of weapons from the second film in The Hobbit Trilogy. The line will consist of signature icons, such as several replicas of the weapons brandished by the Elves of Mirkwood, including the Fighting Knives of Legolas Greenleaf™, the Fighting Knives of Tauriel, the Mirkwood Bow of Tauriel and the legendary Sword of Thranduil the Elvenking. In addition, the Mirkwood Double Bladed Polearm, used by the Mirkwood Guard, and the War Mace of Azog, the weapon used by Azog as he and the Orcs continue to hunt Bilbo and the Dwarves, will also be produced. Each collectible is precisely replicated from the actual film props created by world renowned physical effects house Weta Workshop for the film, and each piece includes a wood wall display and a certificate of authenticity. These six replicas will lead off the line, which will be released in late 2013 and early 2014. To pre-order any of the six authentic collectibles, go to http://www.budk.com/Hobbit. Additional replicas from The Hobbit™ Trilogy will be released in the future, so look for more information concerning these new products from United® Cutlery.
“We are sure that the second film in The Hobbit™ Trilogy is sure to be a hit,” said Clint Kadel, CEO and owner of United Cutlery. “We are very excited to have the opportunity to give the fans a line of collectibles they will love, while at the same time creating a consistent extension of our line inspired by The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.”
