The Broadcast Film Critics Association recently announced their list of nominations for the 19th annual Critic’s Choice Movie Awards in 28 categories. The Broadcast Film Critics Association is the nation’s largest group of critics and tend to be good at indicating what films will be popular for Oscar Nominations. In the 28 categories, The Hobbit:The Desolation of Smaug was nominated in 5 categories: Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup, Best Visual Effects, and Evangeline Lilly was nominated for Best Actress in an Action Movie. Notably, this nomination may hint to a possible Oscar nomination for Evangeline Lilly.
It’s no secret that we here at Middle-earth News love Tolkien with quite possibly the same hot intensity of Smaug’s fire breath.
