The 25 January is Burns Night in the UK and there will be many a Burns Supper held to celebrate the birth of Scotsman Robert Burns, his life and his poetry.
Sylvester McCoy, who plays Radagast in The Hobbit, will be leading the festivities at The Star pub in London with the ceremonial addressing of the haggis. If you’re in London and fancy a night of laughter, a highland jig or two and performance from Sylvester, why not go along. You can find details on The Star’s website

Evie was introduced to Tolkien's work by her boyfriend, over a beer in the Eagle and Child pub in Oxford. She went home, read the books and, a while later, married her boyfriend. She has only recently discovered fandom, after years of eye-rolling by her husband and children, and is delighted to find it warm and welcoming and not-at-all weird. As well as tracking down bits of news and sharing them with others, she leads ponies for Riding for the Disabled and loves the cinema and theatre and her wildlife garden.
