If you’ve ever dreamed of having a scene from The Hobbit on the walls of your home or office, you’re going to love this!
Wallsauce have been licensed by Warner Brothers to produce wall murals of scenes and characters from The Hobbit trilogy! The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey murals are available now with The Desolation of Smaug following in a few weeks. There’s Bilbo, the dwarves, Gandalf, a lovely Bag End door and even Gollum in his cave! There are 20 designs to choose from (and ‘yes’ Kili’s there too). Check them all out here.
The murals are custom printed to suit the size of your wall and the easy-to-use website allows you to see exactly what the mural will look like. The murals come in a standard wallpaper or a self-adhesive, re-positionable option and are easy to install and remove. Wallsauce products are available worldwide.
Wallsauce are based in Lancashire, England in an area long associated with Tolkien, so I asked Tony Fairhurst from Wallsauce if the author was important to him. He told me, “The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit were among my favourite books as a child, they were my mum’s favourite books too (we also love The Silmarillion). Tolkien was inspired to write the books by the landscape of my home, the Ribble Valley in Lancashire, England, which resonates further still. There are many Tolkien walks around my part of the world and anyone who visits the Ribble Valley can immediately see the Shire. The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit started me of on a life long love of magic, adventure and the constant battle of good over evil. The depth of his writing and the world he created is nothing short of genius and should be upheld to highest standards. We would like to bring part of his imagination into other peoples homes via a visual medium, but in large format to make it all the more realistic.”
So now our big problem is, which one to choose for the Middle-earth News office?
