Warner Brothers announced a North American release date of April 8 for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug earlier today. The film will be released in 4 different formats, all of which include an ultraviolet digital HD copy.
Limited Collector’s Edition Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack – A boxed set that includes two Gates of Erebor replica bookends from the Noble Collection. Only 25,000 will be made available. Features the theatrical version of the film in 3D HD, high-definition, and standard definition. Includes an ultraviolet digital HD copy as well. Retail price $105.43
Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack – Features the theatrical version of the film in 3D HD, high-definition, and standard definition. Includes an ultraviolet digital HD copy as well. Retail price $44.95
Blu-ray Combo Pack – Features the theatrical version of the film in high-definition on Blu-ray. Includes an ultraviolet digital HD copy as well. Retail price $35.99
