Tolkien Reading Day Event and Benefit

Join the Long-Expected Fundraiser! The Tolkien Reading Day event will take place Tuesday, March 25, from 7:00 until 9:00 at Defiant Comics, 7234 Madison Street in Forest Park, Illinois.

Admission is only $5.00 and includes a free preview copy of the Tolkien parody The Superfriends Of The Ring (book two from The Wobbit: A Parody Series)

Come (in a Middle-earth costume, if you like) enjoy lots of Middle-earth fun:

  • Dueling Readings (between Tolkien and his parodies)
  • Tolkien parody singalongs
  • Moria Plinko for valuable prizes
  • Costume competition
  • Nose flute lessons and performances
  • “The Wobbit: A Parody Series” book sales and signing
  • A rare personal appearance by Bulbo Bunkins himself

All sales and proceeds benefit Opportunity Knocks, a non-profit organization that serves young people who have developmental disabilities in the Oak Park, Forest Park and River Forest area.

Author: After being dragged to see The Fellowship of the Ring back in 2001 with her dad, Myla fell head-over-hobbit-feet in love with Middle-earth.
