Congratulations to Dan Hennah for winning best production design for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug at the 40 Saturn Awards.
The Saturn Awards are awarded by the Academy of Science Fiction Fantasy and Horror Films. The Hobbit: DOS received 8 nominations for this year’s awards as did Gravity. Gravity won five awards; The Hobbit lost out to Gravity for best director and best special effects.
The 40th Annual Saturn Awards were held in Burbank, California on 26 June, 2014.

Evie was introduced to Tolkien's work by her boyfriend, over a beer in the Eagle and Child pub in Oxford. She went home, read the books and, a while later, married her boyfriend.
