Warriors of the Westfold: Fall Fashion

ALICE

I’m a LOTRO fashion victim and I like to have an outfit for every occasion/event that my characters have to attend. I’ve recently purchased the fourth outfit slot, thanks to this week’s sales, and I set up two autumn outfits for my Hobbit, while I’m waiting for the glorious cosmetics of Fall Festival.

Outfit #1:

Head: Straw Hat

Shoulders: Shoulders of the Mighty Verse (White dye)

Chest: Innkeeper’s Dress

Waist: Treasure Hunter’s Satchel

Outfit #2:

Head: Sun Hat

Chest: Tattered Dress

I am crazy about keeping my characters fashionable in LOTRO. With most of my characters, I follow a relatively simple format: most of the outfits are interchangeable day-to-day styles; but I usually will reserve one outfit slot for cosmetic armour and one for a more formal outfit. Aside from that, I just throw together pieces that go well with one another.

When I started thinking about this week’s article, I realised I couldn’t think of any fall-themed outfit on any of my characters, despite fall being my favourite season. But when I logged on my main toon, Brittanyia, I remembered I had this fun outfit from 2011 when I first rolled the character:

Head: Harvest-brew circlet

Back: Quiver of Caras Galadhon

Chest: Gisur’s Jacket

Hands: Gloves of the Eorlingas

Legs: Galmi’s Leggings

Feet: Boots of the Eorlingas

One of the things I tend to neglect (besides the epic quests) are the cosmetic outfits. While my main is a Tailor, I have a really hard time creating cosmetic outfits. No matter how often I look at online guides and inspirations, I never manage to create a unique cosmetic outfit. So most of the time you’ll see my toons wearing festival outfits or functional armour. My first satisfactory cosmetic outfit for Lilloa was completed just a few weeks ago. It is a summer outfit created out of accumulated festival cosmetics.

Creating the following fall outfit was rather difficult for me, but I tried my best. The idea was to capture all those beautiful fall colours in nature created by fallen leaves. So, I guess, you can call this outfit ‘Fallen leaves’.

Head: Circlet of Fresh-Picked Flowers  (Farmer’s Faire Cosmetic)
Shoulders: Elven Cloth Shoulder Pads dyed burgundy (Rivendell armour vendor)
Chest: Elegant Short-Sleeved Dress dyed burgundy (Auction house)
Back: Plain Cloak dyed violet (Michel Delving’s outfitter)
