One of the things that makes me love playing The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) is the attention to details they put in the game. One of my favourite place to visit, as Hobbit Warrior of the Westfold, is the Shire. I love to wander around those little villages and even cross the rivers, but I never followed their full path. That’s why I’ve been amused by this incredible video shot by the Laurelin player Lina Willowwood who takes a tour of the Shire as seen from a river.
“A journey through the Shire, the land of hobbits in J.R.R. Tolkien’s books. This shows the Shire as seen from the rivers in the game Lord of the Rings Online. The video is more than a little inspired by several programmes by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, showing real-time journeys with trains and boats.”
