Our friends over on the German Tolkien Society reported that a new documentary series about J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis is in the making. In 5 episodes, each 50 minutes long, the documentary will explore the friendship between Tolkien and Lewis, their careers and experiences in World War One.
Titled A Hobbit, a Wardrobe, and a Great War, the documentary will be based on Joseph Loconte’s bestselling book of the same title. Produced by Eastgate Creative, a non-profit production company, the documentary will be narrated by Loconte and will feature scholars such as Alister McGrath, Colin Duriez, and many others.
The documentary is set to be released starting on November 11th 2018 on online streaming platforms. You can, however, already watch a trailer for this documentary online over here. According to the homepage, you can support the film:
