- New Zealand’s Mount Tongariro, the volcano which was featured in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings film trilogy as Mount Doom, has erupted for the first time in 115 years. Apparently they have signs on the loo doors of Mount Doom to tell you what to do if the volcano erupts! (Evie Bowman)

Xenomurphy, LEGO builder extraordinaire, created this diorama of the hobbits hiding in terror from their Nazgûl hunter titled, “Three is Company.” It is fashioned after the scene from Peter Jackson’s film version, but he explains that “there is a certain artistic licence involved.” Keep the LEGO recreations coming!
