Commemorative Hobbit Coins and Stamps

New Zealand continues its love-affair with The Hobbit this November with a series of commemorative coins and stamps.

The coins and stamps will feature some of the characters from The Hobbit says Scoop Independent News.  Already revealed is Bilbo Baggins on the 70cent stamp.

New Zealand Post is collaborating with Warner Bros. and the filmmakers to produce official stamps and coins for all three films and has the exclusive rights to produce legal tender coins.

Ivor Masters, Head of Stamps and Coins at New Zealand Post said,

 “We are the only country in the world with the rights to produce legal tender commemorative coins, featuring characters from The Hobbit Trilogy, and we are delighted to be involved and show support for the New Zealand Film Industry.”
