Prince Charles will spend time of his 64th birthday meeting Peter Jackson.
One of the highlights of the upcoming royal tour of Australasia will be a visit to the film studios in Wellington, where The Hobbit was filmed. Prince Charles will meet Peter Jackson in the workshops and will be shown prosthetics and make-up from the films. He’ll also be given a sneak preview of some of the movie reports The Telegraph!
Prince Charles is a lifelong fan of Tolkien. A royal source said,
“The Prince is a great fan of children’s literature and Tolkien is one of the great icons of children’s literature. He and the Duchess have seen Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings films and the Prince has said he is very much looking forward to seeing Bilbo Baggins’s foot.”
I think meeting Peter Jackson would be a birthday treat we’d all enjoy!
