Warner Bros. has released quiz on their website for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey titled, “Which Middle-earth Character Are You?”
Really, it doesn’t narrow down your personality traits to any specific character. (To be fair, with Thorin’s company of dwarves already numbering a baker’s dozen, it would have to be quite an in-depth test!) What the test does is determine if you are an elf, a dwarf, a hobbit, or a wizard.
It starts off well, with some of the standard quiz yardsticks like, “Which quality do you find most attractive in others?” Others seemed more centered around Middle-earth–“Would you find a mate more attractive if they had a beard?” And the question about a spontaneous road trip seems spot on.
Upon taking the quiz multiple times, I realized that you won’t always get the same questions. But when I started wading through questions about a zombie apocalypse, Mayan calendar predictions, and Olympic uniforms, I realized that the creators of this ten question quiz didn’t really care about staying true to the character of Middle-earth.
That being said, it’s a ten question quiz on a movie website. So I guess you can’t expect too much. And I did get the result I wanted, so who am I to complain?
