Aidan Turner At The Irish Premiere of The Hobbit

The Irish premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was held in Dublin last night (9th December) and Irish actor Aidan Turner, who stars as Kili in the film, was there to enjoy it.

The event was on a far smaller scale to last month’s world premiere in New Zealand but for Aidan , that was a bonus.

“I just hope Dublin stays this way for me. Wellington was crazy so it’s nice to have something on this scale back home with so many friends and family here,” Aidan told the Irish Independent.

The premiere was held at the new Cineworld IMAX and the  film was shown in HFR 3D.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey goes on general release in Ireland on Thursday.
